The 2023 UAE Aeropress Coffee Championships Continues in Dubai
The 2023 UAE Aeropress Coffee Championship continues in Dubai for the second consecutive day at the Dubai Multi Commodities Centre. The seventh edition of this competition features participants from both Emirati citizens as well as residents from various nationalities, all competing for the prestigious title of UAE Champion, organized by Mokha 1450 Specialty Coffee Boutique in Dubai.
This year’s competition is notable for its broad participation from various segments of the community, including professional baraistas and amateur coffee enthusiasts who come from all seven emirates of the UAE. This is a testament to the previous success of the championships and its wide resonance within the distinguished coffee community in the UAE.
The winner of this competition, which concludes on Friday, October 27th, will have the opportunity to compete in the finals of the World Aeropress Championship, in Melbourne, Australia, in December 2023.

Saeed Al Suwaidi, the Director of Agricultural Commodities at the Dubai Multi Commodities Centre (DMCC), welcomed the hosting of the championship at the DMCC’s Almas Tower. He confirmed that this competition is the largest of its kind in the world. He reiterated the DMCC Coffee Centre’s commitment to supporting and endorsing this championship, as well as other events that enhance Dubai’s global standing within the coffee sector.
He added, “Watching some of the most passionate coffee industry experts in the world compete in this artistic manner is a real spectacle. It also serves as a powerful reminder of the pivotal role played by the DMCC in positioning Dubai at the forefront of the global coffee trade.”
