Coffee Planet continues its quest to make specialty coffee accessible to all at World of Coffee 2024 with exciting announcements and celebrations

Dubai, 14th February 2024 – Coffee Planet, part of the Ludlow Coffee Group proudly displayed a strong presence at this year’s World of Coffee (21st-23rd January 2024) in the city of its headquarters and home to the business since 2005. Building on a record-breaking year in 2023 of market growth, innovation launches and a mission to develop further sustainable solutions, this was the specialty coffee solutions provider’s biggest World of Coffee yet.
It has been a busy period for Coffee Planet having recently announced it has opened an Abu Dhabi corporate office, showroom, Campus and café building on customer and partner relationships which have been developed in the capital for a number of years. The business launched a new strapline as part of the evolving identity last year representing its desire to grow in the UAE, the Middle East and beyond with a promise to be “Everyone’s cup of Specialty” and this event marked the culmination of investment and developments ready to share with the industry.
World of Coffee 2024 provided Coffee Planet with the platform to announce and share 3 major new launches:
• 3 new Cold Brew ready-to-drink can products – Latte, Caramel Latte (both 250ml) and Black Nitro (200ml). This builds on their Cold Brew concentrate launch at the back end of last year which is being enjoyed in a number of key markets, particularly in the HORECA sector. The concentrate is an extract version that provides customers with a supply of the drink that can be poured at bars, events, and many hospitality venues. It also creates the ability to provide a mixology experience creating countless different drinks in these environments. The 3 Cold Brew cans are hotly anticipated by a number of new and existing customers in the retail and online channels but also in others markets such as HORECA.

• Coffee Planet is renowned for developing the highest quality specialty coffee sourced from farms across the world with a desire to ensure that their beans are 100% traceable. As is their tradition, the business developed the following new seasonal Single Origin products experienced for the first time at the show.

◦ 3 Single Origin Microlots sourced from El Salvador (Santa Ana), Colombia (Hacienda Mallorca), and Guatemala (Grenada)
◦ 4 new Single Origins for Food Service from Brazil, Costa Rica, Colombia and Ethiopia

• The 3rd exciting launch saw Coffee Planet produce the 4 new Single Origin products above in wooden capsules. People interested in the product can now also discuss having the wooden capsules customised with any coffee of their choice. They are an embodiment of a truly sustainable journey from crop to cup and not only deliver a unique coffee experience but represent the pinnacle of environmental responsibility.
The capsules are Nespresso-compatible, eco-friendly and are crafted from natural wood fibres certified by PEFC, sourced from the by-products of the wood industry. They are also 100% plant-based and made from 100% renewable and biobased materials.

WOC 2024 was an unrivalled experience on Coffee Planet’s stand with the opportunity to visit the main bar serving several customers’ most popular products through their partners’ leading traditional and automated machines. There was a second brew bar at the stand hosting workshops during the 3 days, a capsule corner demonstrating the wooden as well as aluminium and home compostable capsules and a Coffee Corner that is the perfect solution for employees to enjoy a specialty experience in the workplace.
There was also more information on the stand about Coffee Planet’s parent company, Ludlow Coffee Group as well as insightful sessions from Ludlow’s new roastery brand that was announced in November last year – Jigsaw Coffee Company. Jigsaw roasts coffee for many of the world’s leading Food and Beverage companies through its Private Label capability as well as producing all of Coffee Planet’s products.
Every day on the stand there was something different to experience with sessions from key partners and many of Coffee Planet’s Campus by Coffee Planet team. The Coffee Planet experts whipped up a wave of excitement with their hands-on demos and competitions with some of the world’s leading barista and latte art champions swarming to the stand to get involved in the action.
These are also now available for personalised sessions upon request:

Coffee Planet was also present at a number of other partners’ stands at the show, a reflection of the many strategic partnerships it enjoys in the industry. The new Food Service Single Origin range was available on the Eversys, Victoria Arduino and Latte Art Factory stands for attendees to enjoy. Coffee Planet’s Dhiraj Sharma and Mark Kenneth also hosted a latte art masterclass at the Victoria Arduino’s.
CEO of Coffee Planet and Ludlow Coffee Group, Jamie Brown commented “We were proud to have the opportunity to showcase our expertise and latest innovations at this year’s World of Coffee in Dubai.
