Dubai to Host SCA-Certified Coffee Value Assessment Course This June
In a significant step toward redefining how specialty coffee is evaluated, Dubai will welcome an official Coffee Value Assessment (CVA) course on 28–29 June 2025 at the Victoria Arduino Experience Lab, located on Umm Suqeim Street.
Organized by The Ore Coffee in collaboration with the Specialty Coffee Association (SCA) and Victoria Arduino, this exclusive two-day course will be led by Sitaram, a seasoned coffee expert and certified instructor. It is designed specifically for professional cuppers, Q-graders, sensory analysts, roasters, and green buyers aiming to stay ahead of the curve in coffee evaluation.
The course offers a deep dive into the new CVA system, the SCA’s evolving protocol that shifts focus from traditional scoring methods to a more holistic value-based approach. Participants will engage in hands-on cupping sessions, learn to apply advanced sensory tools, and take part in expert-led discussions that explore the latest in sensory science and value mapping.
By the end of the training, attendees will receive official SCA certification, recognizing their mastery of one of the most forward-thinking frameworks in today’s specialty coffee industry.
Limited seats are available, and early registration is strongly advised.
